An unexpected surprise when we called in to check out the accommodation at the Captain Cook Caravan Park at Adventure Bay on Bruny Island was a tree full of Swift Parrots immediately behind the office and more down the road.

We stayed.

The cabin accommodation was first class too and proprietor Jenny Martyn very helpful, even lending us her Tasmanian bird book for the duration of our stay.
